Busy day out and about

 April 18, 2025

We spent the majority of the day at the Georges Pompidou museum which has 4 galleries open currently, 3 of which we enjoyed substantially more than the 4th.  The most bizarre was a display of the vast array of  objects collected over the lifetime of Jean Chatelus, most all having been displayed in his Paris apartment.  The apartment was filled with some 400 pieces- so one could barely navigate the rooms just to live.

Not sure how to describe this poor fellow

A confessional filled with sinful things

Two taxidermied turkeys bound by braided rugs, a taxidermied pig

This was one of the few photos, most everything was 3D

There was a Paris Noir exhibit - featuring Black Parisian artists that was incredible

And an exhibit featuring the works of a self-taught woman artist, Suzanne Valadon

We took in the sites from the top of the museum (unfortunately our reflections can be seen)

Montmartre

Notre Dame

Made our way to the Eiffel Tower and finished the day with a veggie pizza from a local Italian restaurant

A good day! (Only 12,500 steps today)
