Casual Day Out - and my birthday

We had no real agenda today and it’s a French holiday - their Labor Day- so many things are closed.  Such a gorgeous day demanded our being outside so we walked to the Seine, found a quiet place and took it all in.  Paris is terribly crowded these days so we were glad to find someplace rather quiet.

We then had a group wine tasting - great fun there and then Ed took me out for a fancy birthday dinner at a Michelin star restaurant - 7 courses with wine pairings!  That’s lots of wine and food in one night but hey, my birthday only comes once a year I think.

A great day indeed.
