Giverny - Home of Claude Monet
May 20, 2025
We rose very early this morning - early for us at least these days: 6 a.m.- to make our way across town to catch a tour bus to Giverny. Luckily it was a nice day as we spent a lot of time standing in the sun waiting in lines. Though we were there early, the place was packed which seriously detracted from the experience. Yes, I’m complaining about visiting the gorgeous gardens, charming house and incredible works of art by one of the most revered painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Truly, if not for the crowds even at 9h30 in the morning, it would have been a much more enjoyable experience.
Here are a few snaps from the gardens:
The next part of the tour was the house - this is the sitting room as he left it.
Tomorrow, nothing big in the works. Those sometimes end up as great days………stay tuned!

So lovely Jan!
