Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there.  Somehow my children managed to send me flowers! Well actually, while I was in the shower, their sweet father went around the corner to the flower market at their request.  It’s always nice to be remembered - thank you!

 As it’s another gorgeous day outside, we went for a long walk upon the Promenade Plantée which was once an elevated rail line and is now an elevated urban park.  (Apparently this is where NYC got the idea for the High Line.  This is much more green than the one in NYC though.) It’s 5k round trip which we did.

So many families out enjoying the day.

On our way back there were suddenly groups of armed police at every entry to the elevated walkway.  On our ride home, there were also police (inches away from us) who stepped out of the metro car at every stop to look up and down the platforms.  Something’s amiss!

We never figured out what was going on as there was nothing in the press.
