Oops….things changed a lot today

We had every intention of walking the elevated walkway in Paris - abandoned overhead rail lines that were no longer needed once the metro was built.  On the way to the metro station, I was looking at directions on my phone when I missed a step and came crashing down on the cobblestones.  My ankle was  significantly damaged and swelled instantly.  A lovely French couple came to my aid and helped me to my feet but I just needed to sit for a while.  Ed helped me hobble back to our apartment, bought me an air cast and a cane and I’ve had my foot iced and elevated the rest of the day.  Bummer…….
